How do I know what size curtain I need?

• First of all, knowing what size curtain you are going to need is all going to depend on how full you are wanting it to look. A pretty common rule is measuring the width of your window frame and doubling that measurement to get your desired curtain width size. If you are looking for an even more full appearance, particularly if the curtain is quite sheer, then you can multiply the width of your window frame by up to 3 times for an ultra full look. 
• The next step is to consider how long you are wanting your curtain to be. In other words, are you wanting it to hit the window sill, just below it or at floor length? If you are wanting your curtain to hang at window sill length, particularly if you are wanting to leave some space free below it to make room for some furniture, then simply just measure from the top of the curtain rod to the bottom of the window. For a more tailored look, we recommend leaving a 1cm gap above your window sill. If you are wanting your curtain to hang over your window sill, then it’s as easy as measuring the distance from your curtain rod to your desired hitting point. 
• Otherwise, for a floor hanging curtain, measure the distance from the curtain rod to the floor to get your measurement. Again, if you are after a very clean and tailored look then just leave a 1cm gap, or else feel free to add on a few centimetres if you are after a ‘puddled’ curtain look. 

How do I clean my curtains?

• How you clean your curtains is all going to depend on what it is made from, so it is important to first check the manufacturer's care guide. If your curtains can withhold a machine wash, just wash them in cold water and with a mild detergent. Otherwise, a hand wash or dry clean may be needed.
